Environmental Policy

RenewPlus combines years of industry and regional expertise across the environmental spectrum with access to key practitioners and professional communities. RenewPlus offers analysis, guidance, insight and support for SME’s and large companies in the private or public sector looking for the successful delivery of energy and environmental technology projects.

RenewPlus’ business activities include:

  • The Energy & Environmental Industries Forum (EEIF) – a unique and thriving network for the low carbon, environmental goods and services sector in the North East. High quality monthly events are a key feature of the network.
  • Secretariat Services for the North East Sustainable Resources Board (NESRB) and Waste Aware North East (WANE).
  • Environmental consultancy services to the private sector.
  • Chartered Institute of Wastes Management’s Waste Awareness Certificate training courses.

In conducting its day-to-day business, RenewPlus implicitly gives consideration to environmental issues.

RenewPlus will:-

  • Minimise the consumption of energy, by switching off lights and electronic equipment when not in use
  • Use recycled and recyclable products
  • Re-use and/or recycle used materials, such as paper, plastic containers and toner cartridges
  • Minimise car use and therefore fuel consumption, by considering attendance at meetings
  • Print double-sided, or not at all, to reduce paper consumption
  • Consider venue facilities when planning events and training.

RenewPlus will strive to:-

  • Continually improve its environmental performance by conducting regular reviews
  • Comply with all environmental legislation relevant to the organisation
  • Prevent pollution of the environment by disposing of waste accordingly.
